Sound Therapy is an outstanding new technology designed for accessibility, affordability and ease of use. Its potential health benefits are extensive and may include the following effects:

Giftedness is traditionally defined as having an IQ higher than 130. This is manifested as an intellectual capacity beyond that expected for the age of the child. It also points to having the potential to achieve highly in both childhood and adulthood. Giftedness may also include a different type of sensory responsiveness. For example, heightened sensitivity to touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste. The gifted person experiences life events differently to others, and will put their own unique interpretations on life events. They will have different perceptions of reality and different emotional responses and consequently, are likely to do things differently as well. This presents challenges in some situations for children in the school system. Gifted Children and Sound TherapyGifted children, and in fact all children, can benefit from Sound Therapy, which is simply a way of providing added stimulus to develop and increase the resilience of the auditory system. It can be used to improve concentration, creative thinking, language skills, sleep, moods, energy levels, and to reduce stress. Just as children need the stimulation of physical exercise, somersaults, roundabouts, swings and other coordination challenges, they benefit from the stimulation of the vestibular and auditory systems that Sound Therapy provides. Gifted children and learning difficultiesSome gifted children learn more easily through other senses other than the auditory sense. Because such children may not learn well in a traditional classroom, they can sometimes perform considerably below their mental age. Therefore these children may be classed as learning disabled, may fall behind in their studies and become disruptive in group situations. However, such problems may be hard to identify. Gifted children usually develop self taught strategies for circumventing their deficit, so do not always demonstrate the typical characteristics of a learning or sensory integration problem. In the classroom gifted children who have a sensory processing problem will often use visual clues to determine what is required of them. Such children often understand much of the subject matter taught in class, having already studied it using computers or reference books at home. Therefore teachers may not notice that the child is unable to follow their verbal teaching. Children may become clever at guessing what the teacher wants from their prior learning or other observations. Alternatively they may just withdraw from participation into their own world, or exhibit disruptive behaviour. Sound Therapy has been found to enhance learning and life adjustment for gifted children in the following ways. • Processing of auditory information improved When Sound Therapy brings about change in the basic auditory pathways, the effect has a flow on effect to the higher neural levels, eventually reaching and improving academic abilities. Sound Therapy has been found to improve not only auditory processing but also motor coordination, visual perception, visual/motor skills and time order processing. "The greatest benefit that Sound Therapy has had for me so far is in the area of hearing. I have a noticeable improvement in hearing and need less volume on my Sound Therapy system all the time. Also, I'm aware of having acquired the capacity for more highs. Most important of all for a musician, I am getting closer to pitch. I find I'm able to compensate the tuning which is required on any string instrument. With the increase in musical perception I am getting much more critical of sound. I firmly believe that a person who was tone deaf would be able to change that condition with Sound Therapy."

"In addition to helping my tinnitus, the Sound Therapy has made another wonderful difference in my life. My balance, which was very unsteady, following ear operations 30 years ago, has completely recovered, and this is marvellous for me and my family."

"About four years ago I started getting ringing in the left ear, followed by light-headedness and dizziness. Sometimes I couldn't stand without falling. This I was getting about once a month, then twice a month, soon twice a week and not long later three or four times a day. My doctor told me I had Meniere's Syndrome, which is a problem of the inner ear past the stirrup. There wasn't much that could be done; I would just have to put up with it. Being my age was 53, I knew I would be quite some time putting up with this problem.
Then I heard about Sound Therapy. I bought the Sony Walkman ä and tapes. Now, four months later, I have no light-headedness and dizziness, and the ringing in my left ear has gone. The hearing in my left ear has also improved. I can't express how much Sound Therapy has done for me. I am never dragged out and tired any more. I can stay up very late at night and still get up rested early in the morning. Also, I don't get uptight and stressed about the little setbacks of the day, but can just relax and take them in my stride. I even find it easier to talk to people - am not so shy! It's like a new life."

"My hearing was progressively deteriorating and my social life disintegrating as I could not possibly concentrate on a conversation in an environment with a cross current of various conversations. When trying to sing in church I could not hear my own voice, and so gave up trying. Whereas I used to enjoy music, now it just existed and gave me very little lift. I had to try so hard to distinguish any words a soloist was singing.
Road noise drove me frantic. The noises I did not want to hear became a maddening roar, and those I wanted to hear I could not.
After listening to the Sound Therapy tapes, all this is changing. It brings tears of gratitude to my eyes, this recharging of life, made possible by this wonderful therapy. I can now hear the timbre in my own voice as I sing equally with that of others, and I can even hear the birds singing as I walk in the park. I am using my hearing aids less and less.
It is more that just improved hearing though. I find myself able and willing to communicate with people, it is easier to smile and reciprocate love.

My problem was that I had a blocked ear, it wasn't blocked all the time, it would just come and go. I couldn't connect it to anything in particular, it would just block up. And nothing that I had attempted made any difference to it whatsoever. So I used Sound Therapy and after I'd listened to the tapes for about 2 to 3 months then within a period of a week it slowly started to clear and by the end of the week it was just totally clear and I hadn't experienced that before.
I think my ear had been blocked for most of my life and I tried a number of things over the last 3 to 4 year and they didn't work. It would block up and get unblocked and I didn't seem to have any control over it. It was only through listening to Sound Therapy every day for at least 3 hours that it started to clear. Sound Therapy really cleared my ear and I feel very liberated by that . I feel like I can sing, which is something that's really important to me and I didn't think that I ever would be able to.
I don't know why it works, I find it a bit of mystery but I like the mystery of it.

About eight years ago, I read an article in a Women's magazine about the damaging effects of loud noise on our hearing. Sound Therapy was mentioned.
Since I was suffering of frequent ringing in my ears, was very sensitive to noise, with frequent headaches etc., I rang the phone number given on the article.
I read the book in one sitting. I was so impressed, that immediately after reading it, I purchased the tapes. I have said many times since, that the few hundred dollars I spent buying the tapes was the best investment I ever made for my health. From the very first moment I started listening , I knew they were going to do me good.
I couldn't get enough. I listened for 6 hours straight. That same night I slept with my headphones on. I was amazed and very pleased.
A few months later, the ringing in my ears, my regular dizzy spells, and my headaches, were largely gone . I felt so energized that I went from needing 8-9 hours sleep a night, to only 7. Many times since, I have woken up feeling fully rested after only 5 or 6 hours of sleep.
Sound Therapy has certainly made a great difference to the enjoyment of my life. My ears and I are very grateful.

"Over and above assisting me in relaxing and winding down, my hearing became much keener as I listened to the cassettes from day to day. There followed improved concentration and it seemed easier to zero in on things. The listening had a sort of snowballing effect in improving my ability to focus my mind and put myself into whatever I'm doing with a larger degree of intensity."

"Not only has Sound Therapy enhanced my learning capabilities, but it has greatly increased my confidence in speaking. Being a graduate student means that you must be able to speak with authority to groups of highly intelligent people. In the past I have been too shy and self-doubting to give such presentations with any confidence. They were the most anxiety-provoking situations of my life. My hands used to shake and I would be wet with perspiration before beginning to speak. Not anymore. I carry my Sony Walkman and tapes in my briefcase, and for a time before speaking I immerse myself in the recharging sounds of the music. I find then that I am perfectly at ease before large groups, and my presentations go without a hitch. Sound Therapy has helped me so much with my professional life that I've given it my own special name; I call it Confidence Therapy, because confidence was the area in which I was most lacking, and I now feel like a new man!"

"Although I still have Tinnitus (for which I began the Sound Therapy) I feel sure it isn't as loud, but the other benefits are great. I am in my 5th month and can now scrape up the energy to make a cake in the late afternoon before I put the dinner on- unheard of for the past many years. My husband of 52 years doesn't feel he lands himself in nearly the amount of trouble he used to with the crazy male way he tries to help me. I certainly have new vitality and sense of well being which makes it easier for me to tolerate the odd person who used to irritate me!
All in all, I am a very satisfied customer and am in no way going to become lax about my 4 hours each day (I do 4 to make up for the intervals on the tape and the times it stops and I don't immediately notice)."

"I listened dutifully to the tapes for over 200 hours (averaging 6 to 7 hours a day) until a remarkable change occurred in my sleeping patterns. I began to awake at 5:30 in the morning after 5 to 6 hours sleep, and was fully refreshed and ready to leap into action. Previously I needed 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep per night. I am now a morning member of a gym and have plenty of time to pursue study interests, all before leaving for work. I am continuing to listen and maintain my new sleeping patterns. I have also noticed that I rarely get a stiff neck working at my desk. I often listen while engaged in work and find my concentration is excellent. I feel I am very lucky to have accidentally discovered Sound Therapy and would heartily recommend it to anyone, particularly those wanting to get more out of life.

"I have noticed a remarkable change in my child's speech. The results were tremendous. The child is speaking in longer sentences, with more detail in speech. I am convinced that Sound Therapy really WORKS!"
